Simple car to work on and cost at 100 k service is half the time and 1\/3 the labor cost vs the 2006 Kia Spectra. One easy car to maintain and small for easy city driving and spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>High Oil Consumption:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 1.6  Rio (UB, SC) 2012-2021 if the engine is using oil at a rate of 1 quart per 999 miles. try this TSB. If the original owner and under 100k Ask KIA to perform the TSB for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/static.nhtsa.gov\/odi\/tsbs\/2021\/MC-10205426-0001.pdf\">https:\/\/static.nhtsa.gov\/odi\/tsbs\/2021\/MC-10205426-0001.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternative: Try a piston soak overnight using a modified version of the TSB minus the tools\/tube. Soak overnight evac then soak again for an hour and evac again. Change oil\/filter. go with 5w30. TSB says so. I then used liquid Moly Oil Flush at 15 min idle and drained the oil and new filter refill with a syn blend.
