Power Steering is a basic as- a pump to pressurize a liquid, a rack (piston) to take the liquid and create mechanical movement via the inner tie rod. Hoses consist of high pressure and low pressure (return). High-pressure leaks can be pinholes from rust or penetration or hose or connection failure and can only be fixed by replacement parts.
The KIA had 2 leaks one in the rubber hose low side above the rack and pinion and the steel line nipple section going into the rack had a rust pinhole. Parts were a new return line kit at $25.00.
